    Best nightlight/ learning experience
Best idea for kids to explore and design on their own. Learn about the ocean and the life in it. It is so awesome because it’s extremely useful as a nightlight. Love it

    Kids loved it
The kids loved digging for the fish and they kept them for bathtub toys we had doubles and triples of some, so it made it easy to split these up for each child to have their own fish

    Fun and very educational!
This little kit is well made and includes plenty of educational material for kids. I really like that it comes with colorful little cards that include basic information about each species of fish. There are multiple fish buried in each little chalk unit and they are colorful and well made. This is a great little activity for kids that are interested in nature and animals and comes with all sorts of digging tools to carefully remove each fish from the chalk. There are 4 separate “rocks” to mine and each are made in different shapes such as a treasure chest and shell. This is appropriate for ages 6 plus although its definitely an activity that children should do along with adult supervision as it makes a huge mess. This is perfect holiday gift for science and nature oriented kids.

    Educational and fun
My homeschooled kids (ages 7 & 9) love excavating just about anything. This kit was just their style, and it kept them busy for two solid hours. The kit comes with all the tools needed for one person (luckily we had some other tools from a different kit so two kids could work at the same time). The tools and safety glasses were of solid quality and worked perfectly. My children chose not to use water to soften the outer “rock” but it does say you can use water to make it a bit easier. We had no issues with the fish “fossils” inside being broken during excavation (a somewhat common problem with similar kits); the fish were in perfect condition and will be added to our animal toy collection. The identification cards are very nice and easy to match to the fish. Overall, this is a quality kit and I would definitely recommend it.

This fish dig kit is a great catch!
My kiddos love dig kits, mostly having done dinosaur ones, so this fish kit is a welcomed change of pace! I like that there are multiple plaster pieces to explore so the kit can be split up between my kids. This kit can get messy, so do yourself a favor and lay down some cardboard to cover your table before getting started. The colorful fish figurines are fun to discover and the enclosed cards will teach kiddos about what they find. Educational, interactive activities like this one are favorites in our home; learning though play is awesome! This would make a great gift for the kiddos on your list. Screen free, table time fun and best of all, no batteries required!

Fun for kids who love science
Both my kids are very into everything ocean life right now and this has been a lot of fun for them. This set comes with 4 different forms that hold the various fish. They are smaller than anticipated but you do get quite a lot of fish to find. I have 2 kids so 2 each was perfect. They do get messy so it’s best to set an area with a tray for kids to dig. My kids are 4 and 8 and they found digging easy enough. My little one didn’t need much assistance so I’d say in this age group, kids could manage this in their own. The included guide is also nice for curious kids. Nice, small gift for the holiday season.

    Fun Learning
This is one of those unusual products that teaches kids without them knowing that they are learning while having fun. There is a little mess involved when using this product. You add a little water to the solid mold to loosen up the material. Then the child chips away at the mold. A plastic tropical fish emerges from the sandy crumbs. A brush is included to help brushing away the sand from the fish. The child then compares the fish with included cards to learn about the fish. Kids love making a mess, and this will create a little mess . . . But . . . The child will be learning in the process. I like the idea behind this learning product.
