We got this Bluey potty seat to help our daughter get more comfortable during potty training, and it definitely does the trick in that department. She loves Bluey, so the character design alone makes her excited to sit on the potty—which, if you’re in the thick of potty training, you know is half the battle. So on that front, it’s a win.The cushion itself is soft and seems comfy for little ones. The outer material has a plasticky feel, which actually helps when it comes to cleaning—super easy to wipe down after an accident or just regular use.That said, we have elongated toilet seats, and this potty seat slides around a lot more than I’d like. It doesn’t feel super secure, which makes me a little nervous when she’s trying to climb on or off by herself. It might fit better on round toilet seats, but if you’ve got elongated ones, just know it won’t be a perfect fit.The other downside is the price. I know you’re paying a bit more because it’s a branded item with a character on it—and that’s fine—but it still feels like it’s about $5 more than it should be for what you’re getting. If it were just a little cheaper, I’d have zero complaints.Bottom line:If your kid loves Bluey, this potty seat can be a fun motivator during training. It’s comfy, easy to clean, and cute—but the fit isn’t great on elongated toilets and it’s a bit overpriced for the quality. Still, for some kids, the Bluey factor might be worth it.
