All I’ve ever wanted is freedom…
Freedom to do what I want.
Freedom to be who I want.
I’ve been controlled since the day I was born, forced to put on a smile and pretend my
life was perfect. From the outside looking in, it was. Little did anyone know, I’d been
living in hell.
Broken, beaten, and scared, I escaped my tormentor and ran to the one place I vowed
never to return. I’ve been hiding in the city that holds all my secrets and was beginning
to make a life for myself.
Until they come for me.
Eli, King, and Rowen.
They’re vicious, brutal, ruthless, and used to getting whatever they want, when they
want it. Only this time, there’s something standing in their way.
They want me out of their city and will stop at nothing to get what they want.
They say the ultimate cost of freedom is death… I should’ve been careful
what I wished for.

Kept me on my toes
Rating: 5/5⭐️Absolutely ate this book UP! The spice, the plot, the characters were CHEFS KISS. Every chapter had me itching for the next one. This was my first book by this author and I loved every second of it. Was i anticipating the cliff hanger at the end? Nope. Did I immediately download the next two books? Absolutely yes.

An amazing read!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kyla faye never disappoints! This series is absolutely one of my favorite dark romance series I have read. I am a fan of the why choose trope.Lee the FMC goes through a lot of twists and turns but she is one strong woman.Once you meet Rowen,King, and Eli you can’t help but fall for them! Lee and the boys will always have a special spot in my heart.

Escaping one nightmare only to wake up in another
This book was an emotional rollercoaster for me. Lee’s life hasn’t been easy and from the start of the book her husband was a piece of work. She struggled with an abusive and unfaithful husband until one night he takes things too far.Tate aka Lee starts her life over and is finally starting to get her legs back underneath her until she’s introduced to three strangers that have been watching her since she rolled into town. But are they all strangers? The twists and turns, heart ache, and trauma made this book a page turner that I couldn’t put down until the end. But that ending, definitely left me on the edge of my seat. Please read the trigger and content warnings there are some pretty dark topics and violence that some could find disturbing. Can’t wait to start the next book. Spice is 3.5 but steamy. Definitely a must read.

Good read; miscommunication trope heavy
Overall, this was a good book.I will continue on to Book 2.I would not reread. The trigger warnings are basic and do not properly warn readers of what’s to come. There’s underage r@pe, SA, mental and physical abuse, manipulation, non-con, etc.Plot: Unique (kind of?). Some plot points didn’t make logical sense or were too far fetched for the characters ability. It was good, not great. Interesting enough for me to willingly read the second book. Partly because it ends on a cliffhanger. With that said, the main trope moving the plot along is miscommunication. The characters don’t communicate with each other so a series of events happen, in several different scenes. So if that’s not your thing, be prepared to be frustrated.Characters: We get a lot of character details and history. There’s some character development but not much. The FMC falls hard for the MMCs. It’s a quick love and they all seem to have a connection. King and Rowan more than Eli. It works with the plot tho.Grammar/Writing Style: The beginning chapters were amazing. 5 star writing that pulled you in and made you want to binge the entire book. Somewhere along the way, likely when the FMC makes a major life change (sorry, don’t want to include any spoilers), is when the writing starts to change. Another reviewer compared it to fan fiction. I would compare it to a competent fan fiction writer that’s still learning how to properly include details and write inner dialogue that’s not cringy.

Very dark but very good!
I don’t remember how I heard about this book but I am so glad I did! It’s definitely got a lot of triggers but if you can handle that, I definitely recommend it! The back story of Tate and Romen was heartbreaking, as was the story of how she ended up back in the city she ran from. The spicy scenes were very well done and the ending was full of twists. I’m jumping right into the next book!

Absolutely Dark and Fantastic Can’t Wait For Book Two!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ReviewThis was absolutely dark and tragic but definitely fantastic!! Failed and betrayed by the system that’s meant to protect her and then later by a husband that’s meant to love and cherish her Lee decides she’s no longer willing to be a victim. She manages to find a way out and changes everything about herself.Lee finds herself back where she grew up dancing at an elite club and it’s there she meets 3 mysterious men that she feels an instant pull to. Rowen, King and Eli they feel the pull too but they’ve made a deal and they mean to keep it so they take Lee and everything gets crazy from there. There’s steam, love, blood, death and sadly more betrayal with them but this is a dark romance so it’s expected. This story comes with TW and please be aware of them. Lee’s past is tragic and extremely dark but it has only made her a strong and tough woman who fights to survive. She goes thru a lot and you will live thru every moment with her when reading this. It ends on an extreme cliffhanger and will leave you absolutely gutted and desperate to find out what happens in the next book. I’m hoping it’s sooner rather than later but the wait will be worth it!! 100% recommend this book!!

This book… honestly, I don’t think I will ever get this book out of my head. From the interlocking story elements, to the strength of the characters, to the utter pain I felt reading through the heart wrenching parts of this story. It’s 100% a must read if you love dark romance and reverse harem, in my books.

Can easily say this book is in my top 5! It was amazing. I love that it wasn’t rushed, and all the small details were there that most books miss. Having it be 2 books made a world of difference for the reading experience! Onto book number 2!!

My Rating: ★★★★☆”Dollhouse” by Kyla Faye is a masterfully written novel that skillfully combines elements of escape, freedom, and the haunting shadows of the past. The protagonist’s journey unfolds with a perfect blend of spice, violence, and mystery, creating a narrative that is both compelling and gripping. The author navigates the complexities of the storyline with precision, capturing the essence of the protagonist’s struggle for liberation. The city of secrets serves as a powerful backdrop, adding layers of intrigue to the narrative as the protagonist attempts to forge a new life for herself. The reader is drawn into the character’s world, experiencing the highs of newfound freedom and the lows of an imminent threat from the formidable trio—Eli, King, and Rowen. The characters are vividly portrayed, with Eli, King, and Rowen emerging as ruthless and relentless figures, each contributing to the intensity of the plot. Their presence adds a palpable tension, making every encounter with the protagonist a high-stakes moment. The dynamics between the characters are both fascinating and complex, further enriching the overall reading experience. While the storytelling is commendable, it is crucial for readers to heed the trigger warnings. The inclusion of elements like violence, domestic violence, dub con, non-con, blood and knife play, and other uncomfortable situations enhances the realism of the narrative but may be unsettling for some readers. Faye’s decision to address these challenging themes adds depth to the storyline, creating a narrative that goes beyond surface-level storytelling. In conclusion, “Dollhouse” stands out as a well-crafted novel that explores the darker facets of escape and the pursuit of freedom. Kyla Faye’s ability to strike a balance between suspense, violence, and mystery is commendable, earning the book a solid 4-star rating. This is a must-read for those who appreciate a thought-provoking and intense narrative that pushes the boundaries of conventional storytelling.

This book was a complete rollercoaster of emotions and events. The prologue hooked me right in and I felt like we went up and down until that ending. Such a good ending. Little bit of a cliffhanger but not the worst.I enjoyed all of the characters, and the fact of the author had multiple point of views so that we were in each of their heads made it even better. While the multiple POV‘s did help, not everything is answered, sometimes there are more questions. Some parts of this book did move slower than others but they were building up to an unforgettable climax. The buildup helped with getting to know the characters, ask more questions and reveal some answers. There is the love story, of course, but there’s also a mystery that you just need to have solved. As well, the last chapter added a few more questions. While the blurb did make the book seem interesting, this book wasn’t what I expected at all. It’s much better and more complex than the blurb made it seem. Definitely recommend this book and I’m looking forward to book 2.

Initially thought I was going to love this book. Sadly no. Several editing issues that were difficult for me to overlook. The believability really started going downhill early on, which made it difficult to enjoy. The writing is good, intimate scenes are mild spice.
