Great! Check which model you’re getting.
Great learning bike. My only regret is that I overlooked the specific model I was getting. We were introduced to the bike by our friends, whose version had a handbrake and inflatable tires. I ordered the basic model by accident – solid tires and no handbrake. No big deal on the tires (it would be fun if we could pump them up like dad’s tires, but functionally there’s nothing wrong with them), but the brake would have been useful (we live in a hilly area). Nevertheless, our son loves this bike, it’s very light/portable, simple but durable and well-designed (no sharp parts, easy to adjust seat height).

Cool bike
I really like this bike but I wish it had pegs to rest your feet like some of the other bikes I have seen.

… barely shuffling around on this bike to riding it like a real bike in about four sessions
My daughter went from barely shuffling around on this bike to riding it like a real bike in about four sessions. This is the perfect tool for teaching a child to ride a bicycle – or, more accurately, allowing her to learn on her own. Assembly is quick and easy, and the bike is very tough. I expect our grandchildren to use it.

it is very solid and is easy for him to use
My son loves this bike, it is very solid and is easy for him to use. We did need to buy the conversion kit, I think at 2 years old now he can use it without the lowered setting. He is also a little tall for his age so just be aware the kit might be needed.

I wish I could give six stars.
I cannot say enough good things about FirstBike. We bought ours four years ago, and our second child is now riding it. It is lightweight,, which is much easier for kids when learning and much easier on parents who may get to carry it home. It’s low, especially with the lowering kit, which is great for short kids. It’s also simple to adjust the seat height–no finding the hex key every time. The thing is also basically indestructible. We have backed over it twice now–once in a Yukon, and once in a Volkswagen, and the only damage was to one of the handlebar grips (it got torn, so it wouldn’t stay on). When I contacted FirstBike about buying a replacement grip or finding an aftermarket brand that would fit, they sent me a new grip at no charge in under a week. The customer service was fantastic, and the quality of the bike is outstanding. This is a great balance bike.

The best
After many weeks of vigorous research, we got this one from my husband’s Amazon account. My boy absolutely love it! The main reason we got this over other better priced balance bikes is its weight. It is so light that my 3 year old boy can carry it no problem, and it has all the safety features.Totally recommend it !
