Nice, boards could be bigger
Why did you pick this product vs others?:What I really like about this one is that it makes things more engaging for kids by including design cards that show how to use it. Once they get the hang of the basic shapes, they can definitely let their creativity flourish, but having that starting point really helps grab their interest. Plus, the glow in the dark feature adds an extra fun twist—my kids are all about anything that glows! It was super easy for my child to use, and he enjoyed the variety of colors and sizes of bands. I appreciate that this gave me a chance to teach my son different geometric shapes while also making something beautiful. Although, I do think the board could be a bit bigger, though. It’s not big enough to create something like a dinosaur on it.

My grandkids loved it more than I thought they would
I love to do activities with my 4 year old granddaughter and 6 year old grandson. I thought this would be something different and it said STEM development in the description, so I thought it would be a good kit. They loved it! They both needed a little help starting out, but the 6 year old picked it up quickly. The 4 year old needed a little more help, but she was doing great with the bands, just a little trouble following the pictures/patterns. One of them has a black light in his room, so they would complete one and excitedly run up to the boys room to see the pictures under black light. Then they’d run to the girls room to see if it just glowed in the dark. I do wish there was storage for the cards and the rubber bands, but we just used a sandwich bag. It was definitely a grandma win!

Love the design cards
I grew up playing with a geoboard and remember happily making all kinds of designs on my own as a kid. I got my kids a regular geoboard and found it got little use. Even worse, I could barely remember the way I used to do it and felt kind of useless trying to show it off to them. What I love about this one is that it makes it more interesting for kids by including design cards to show how to use it. Once they master the basic shapes, of course, they can let their own creativity grow, but it helps so much to have the starting point guide to hook their interest. The glow in the dark aspect adds another fun element, my kids love anything glow in the dark!

Fun activity
Fun activity for kids that really engages their brain. The glow in the dark is super fun. Kit includes cards with some suggested designs but my kids also enjoy coming up with their own. There are only 3 plastic frames though so you have to be ok with disassembly if you want to keep playing.

My daughter loves playing with this as at lousing to talk and give her the opportunity to be creative. She mostly likes to make patterns of her own. But the cards offer a great deal of challenges. It definitely is something that keeps her away from screens and gives her the opportunity to be hands-on and to be creative. The elastic bands are good quality and so far I haven’t had any break. They stretch quite a bit.

This is a nice little set. I can see hours of fun for my kids creating patterns, and enjoying the glow in the dark effect. It’s perfect for a creative little mind, but even if they lack imagination, the provided cards give designs to recreate, which is going to keep scientifically minded kids occupied and satisfied for hours. It’s really going to help with copying, co-ordination, and problem-solving skills. The pack is a good size for keeping in a cupboard and bringing out, but I can also see my eldest wanting to display her art work. That’s one area that hasn’t been thought of, and there’s no easy way to display the boards. I may get some plate display stands which would be perfect. It’s nice and simple for fingers big or small to get the bands onto the boards, so it’s not difficult to use, but where it is a bit fiddly for little hands is getting the band on the right peg, and this is where the co-ordination skills will be honed.I’ve docked a point for a couple of reasons…1. It’s yet more plastic in the house. I’d like to see more wood or bamboo used to replace plastic in toys, although that may be tricky for these peg boards.2. There’s a good quantity of elastic bands, but I can see them getting lost and broken, and I don’t think they’ll be easy to replace. Normal coloured bands may do, but it won’t have the same appeal.3. I think this is expensive at the current price of £27.42.Overall a great educational toy which is going to be loved by my kids, but for the price I’d like to see some of my concerns address. EG. I know Orchard Toys will send replacement parts for toys for free, and a similar offer for the bands would be appreciated.
