Great brand, great shoe.
I love these shoes. So does my son. He wanted to wear them right away when they showed up! I love stride rite brand for having wider shoes for the bigger footed kiddos. He has chunky feet so normal shoes tend to be too tight and I don’t want anything that will hurt him. They fit perfectly and he has no troubles walking or running around. They have good traction overall and they last as long as we usually need with life left in them…, up until the next size which is a couple of months or so for us.

Not as durable as I was expecting
Overall these shoes are good quality. My son thinks they’re very comfortable, easy to move in, and they work well for both athletics and outdoor activities. We bought these shoes for camping this summer, and for the purpose of hiking and walking on nature trails, but I’m pleased they also work well for day to day activities like going to the playground. The only problem I have with the shoes is their durability along the top of the toes. This picture is the condition of the shoes after the very first day of wearing them, and all he did that day was go to his half day preschool. They literally arrived brand new only 24 hours before this photo was taken, and already, you can see that the toes are wearing out on the top. For how much these shoes cost, I don’t think the material on the exterior should be so poor. I am pleased with how they look, feel, and they are cute on him, but it’s a shame they’re already showing so much wear even though they are new.

Great shoes for wider feet!
My three year old has wide feet and store bought shoes just don’t seem to offer the wide option for kids. These shoes come with a double insole. If your child has wide feet you simply pull out the first insole and they accommodate wider feet. The larger toe box and wider fit make them more comfortable for him. The tread is nice and grippy so he doesn’t slide around when he’s running around. They slide on and off pretty easily and the grey and green color combination is appealing. Would buy again and again.

Not even good.
The second time my toddler wore these they had significant wear on the toes. He has only worn them less than 10x and the toe box is shot with cracks that I can fit a finger nail through. His second hand shoes hold up better. Disappointing. Not like other Stride Rite’s we have purchased.

Durable toddler shoes that look good!
I love Stride Rite shoes for our little boy, and these are perfect! The dark and light blue color combination with the pops of orange and gray are cute, and they go with so many outfits! They aren’t heavy, so they are easy for our little guy to run around in. He’s between a size 7 and 8, so we went with the 8, and they fit just fine! I will definitely continue to order his shoes from Stride Rite because everything we get is of good quality that lasts!
