UPDATE: I decided to change my rating because the seller ended up reaching out to me! They wanted to know what happened so they could look into it, refunded me, and sent me a replacement. The new one works perfect so far!—————————————-At first time use, I plugged it in and it was fine. Less than two hours later I put it on for bed and within 2 minutes started smelling a terrible burnt plastic smell, i picked it up and realized it was coming from the device and it started popping in my hands and was hot!!!!! I left it alone and tried again the next day and the same thing happened. Just so frustrating and not cool that’s it’s marketed for sleep with music when it literally about lit me on fire -_-

Nightly Favorite
My two girls (6 and 10) LOVE this. They had a hard time going to sleep and staying in bed, but now turning this on is part of our nightly routine! The colors make beautiful patterns on the ceiling for them to look at and the music is beautiful. We’ve tried a few of the other sounds, but the one that comes on first is their favorite and helps them get to sleep every night and stay in bed. Love this! Will be buying more in the future for gifts and if this one ever stops working!

UPDATE 2: it’s dead UPDATE: sooo disappointed 😞 [I want one of these in almost every room!]
UPDATE 2: just a couple weeks after it stopped responding to the remote, we lost power and now it won’t come on even if I try to use the switch on the bottom. It’s just dead. 😞UPDATE: I loved this light so much, but the other day (barely 3 months after I got it, and OF COURSE well after the return window has closed) it suddenly stopped responding to its remote. I changed the batteries in the remote to be sure that wasn’t it, but even with brand new batteries, it just won’t respond to the remote. Those “buttons” on the front aren’t buttons at all. Nothing happens when I touch them.So, now I can’t shut it off. If I do and then subsequently turn it back on I’ll be stuck with it playing music and all 3 colors at once because I cannot do ANYTHING to it with the remote. The only way I like to use this is with the music off, and the blue light on only. I’ve left it on since I realized that because I really like it. But, next time I lose power or the cord is jostled and it goes off- game over.Original review: I am addicted to this light. I got it for my Mermaid themed birthday party to simulate being underwater and holy hecc does this do that! There’s 3 different colors and about 5-6 different combinations of the colors but I prefer just the blue. It simulates being underwater so well that I have it in my room and I use it at night! I fall asleep listening to ocean waves (on a separate sound machine, though this does come with music on it and a blank SD card to add your own music/sounds) and looking up at my ceiling, sparkling like the water’s surface, while I lay beneath the waves like a real mermaid!And yes, I’m a grown adult, lol. So if this tickles me as much as it does, kids will go gaga for this light.

Why does it react to any Fire TV remote??
I really wanted to like it and overall it’s OK, but why does it RANDOMLY, SOMETIMES react to any Fire TV remote?? (We have 3 TV-s in 3 different rooms.) Like, I’d turn on the TV and SOMETIMES it would switch the projector’s program! Or I’d PAUSE the shhow that I’m watching and it would TURN ON the projector… With loud music…And its music is one of the reasons why I don’t like it that much… The music would be OK maybe for a newborn, (as some of them are like a primitive lullaby), but the melodies are like ringtones of a very old phone, from 20 years ago…I like what it’s projecting and I like all the variations, BUT it doesn’t really really project much further than 3 feet.Not sure why, but I expected at least twice of that range… In this way, there is no way to “hide” this, if it’s not displayed close to the wall, you’ll not see anything.And I WISH there would be an option to completely avoid these Nokia 3310 ringtones… It’s keep randomly turning on on various projecting modes with the same “Nokia 3310 lullaby” being loud, when I have no intent to use it, but only trying to control the show that I’m watcing trough the system of Fire TV. It’s getting a bit old…So, for kids, for close range, sure, go ahead and get it, but don’t use Fire TV around it, or you’re going to risk waking up the kid when it’s sleepy time.Overall, as much as I like the idea, what it’s projecting, that it’s not too bright, and its look is fine too,I still think that a 3 stars review is accurate, since the execution has quite a few flaws, (including the Nokia 3310 lullabies, the issues with remote control and the non-existent ease of use.And there is no option for batteries, it has to be plugged in.)I truly appreciate the idea, but in my opinion, some things might need to be changed (if it bothers others too…)

*UPDATE*The seller reached out and offered us a full refund in addition to replacing the broken one we had. They were also super quick with messaging and replying to my messages. Overall I’m pretty happy with their support team, hopefully the new one doesn’t break!*OLD REVIEW*We loved this thing but the rotate function which made the lights move and look like flowing water broke. Now it’s just still lights that change color, and the effect is completely lost. Would return it but my return window closed 5 days ago 🤦♂️

Works great with the kids
The twins LOVE it. They like to request colors and sounds. I had thought when I purchased it that it only had x4 nature sounds but on opening the product it has several choices between instrumental music and nature ambience. Pleasantly surprised there.I love the timer options: 1 hr, 2hrs, 4hrs. The remote is simple to use. We all love it so far!

Bought this for my daughters mermaid room. Its perfect and she loves it. She has a decent size room, 12ft by 11ft. It do not cover all her ceiling but it do cover above her bed and she don’t seem to care. Lots of color options. She really just sticks to the main one. Sound is good but she don’t use it. The remote could be a little better quality. The 4hr timer button wore out quickly and you have to press VERY hard now to get it to work. Had this for under 6mths so a little disappointed in that but otherwise, if the child is happy then I am happy.

Although I love the light projection, I operate it with the sound off….I do like the nature sounds and rolling surf you get with some of these kind of products, but the recordings used for this particular machine are not at all pleasant sounding – I would have preferred even just a a very light music instead – so i use it with sound off and my own music. My only other issue with it is the remote control — I have it near a remote control electric fireplace and the two of them unfortunately operate with same signal – because when i turn the wave projector on, it also turns on my fireplace – and when i try to adjust the colors – it shuts my fireplace back off and on again with every click.

This is such a cool projector. There are a bunch of different colors and combinations to choose from, and the remote is great to change the settings without having to get up. The first projector I received made some noise while operating, but the customer service was amazing and helped to fix the problem. The light works super quietly now! Would definitely recommend.

Remote wouldn’t work.. lights were decent but poor sound quality and the whole thing was just cheaply made. Sent it back right away for a refund. Maybe I just got a bad one. But I won’t be buying another one.

I ordered one, it didn’t work. They sent a replacement, it didn’t work. Lovely idea but, seems to be a bit of a piece of junk. Won’t be trying this again. Funny thing… one the cover of the manual it actually says ‘Patented Product Counterfeiting”. Well now… at least they are honest about but uh… not sure this is a company that I want to support….
