Oh, dear sweet chaos, where do I even begin with this so-called science kit? I mean, they say not to judge a book by its cover, but in this case, the cover is a cardboard catastrophe that couldn’t withstand a light breeze, let alone the enthusiasm of an eager young scientist. I present to you the “Scientrash” Science Kit, the epitome of cheap packaging known to mankind!First things first, I’m convinced that the manufacturers must have raided a recycling bin to gather the materials for this disaster of a box. The moment I laid eyes on it, I could almost hear the cries of defeated trees who sacrificed their lives for this flimsy excuse of packaging. I wouldn’t be surprised if a gentle sneeze caused the entire kit to crumble into a pile of recycled disappointment.Now, let’s talk about the contents within this cardboard coffin. The test tubes provided were so thin and fragile that even a baby’s giggle would shatter them into a million pieces. It’s like they were made from tissue paper soaked in unicorn tears instead of actual laboratory-grade materials. Attempting to conduct experiments with these delicate tubes was like performing brain surgery with a foam noodle—it just wasn’t going to end well.And the chemicals, oh boy, the chemicals! Forget about getting an actual chemical reaction; it felt more like adding colored water to more colored water and praying for some kind of miracle. The only thing these potions could possibly do is disappoint your child and make them question their career choices before they’ve even reached puberty.But wait, there’s more! Perfect Birthday Gift for a Curious 6-Year-Old!
I gave this science kit to my 6-year-old for her birthday, and it was an instant hit! The packaging is colorful and exciting, and the experiments are just the right mix of fun and educational. Fun kit but requires adult supervision
This science kit has some fun and engaging experiments, but it definitely requires adult supervision. The instructions were not very clear, which made it frustrating to follow along, especially for kids trying to do it independently. Some steps were confusing, and it would have been helpful if the instructions were more detailed or included better illustrations.That said, the kit does include a good variety of experiments, and once we figured things out, my kids enjoyed them. Just be prepared to guide them through most of it.

We purchased this as a supplement to homeschooling. We don’t use it as often as we should, but my daughter asks to do experiments regularly. It comes with most everything you need and has been fun for the whole family. It is a great price for how much you get!
