A great way to introduce sorting.
The Learning Resources Silly Science Fine Motor Sorting Set has been a hit in our special needs pre-k classroom. It’s incredibly durable and affordable, and a consistent favorite during free choice time. Beyond fostering fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination, this set effectively supports color recognition, counting, and social skills development. Creative Toy!
I cannot recommend this germ set enough! It addresses grouping, colors, pattern recognition, matching, counting, and fine motor skills, just to name a few things! The set is darling. My daughter loves it so much! We got it for her at age 2 and a half and a year later she still wants to play with it often! It’s one of those toys that can grow with them as their skills develop.

Great toy for 3 years old
The best toy for 3 years old. I bought it for my daughter. She loved it. She was playing over 1 hrs. It teaches them about patterns, colors and numbers. She was counting out loud while she put it in.

Great gift idea
Was bought as a gift but it turned out to be a great present. Easy to use and they are learning through sorting and using tongs which they don’t even realize.

2-6 year olds love it! Repeat buy!
I got this for my son when he started Pre-K3 because he got a little anxious after all the hype about germs at school and home (we had just had a new baby.) We got this to make germs a little less scary and more tangible for his 3 year old brain to understand. Little did I know, this would easily become one of his favorite Learning Resources toys, ever!! He’s about to turn 6 and he loves pulling this out. His sister, the aforementioned new baby, just turned 2 years old and she also loves to play, mostly by sorting. We have long since moved on from just learning about germs to counting, sorting, colors, shapes, patterns, taking turns, and just plain old fun! My son loves rolling the dice and it adds to the “game” feel. The set comes with a booklet of different ways to play. We’ve made up all kinds of games ourselves too, even that accidentally touching a certain green germ turns the player into The Hulk! This set is well made, durable, and a great size for younger and older kids. The germs are cute and approachable, while still teaching a healthy respect for them. We love this set so much, we bought a second for grandma’s house & I’m giving one as a Christmas gift. Money well spent!

My daughter loves this set because of the cute little germs. It’s perfect for a 2.5 year old learning how to grip tweezers 🙂
